Starting a GLP-1 in Midlife? You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone.
Personalized 1:1 nutrition and lifestyle coaching for midlife women starting Zepbound, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Ozempic, or another GLP-1 medication.
Starting a GLP-1 can feel like a really big deal.
You may be excited. Hopeful. A little nervous. And wondering what exactly life is going to look like once you take that first shot.
What will I eat if I’m not hungry? How do I get enough protein? What if I feel nauseated? How do I protect my muscle? Can I still go out for dinner and have a glass of wine? And what about all those years of diet rules I’ve accumulated—do any of them even apply anymore?
There’s a lot of information out there about GLP-1s.
But there’s a big difference between having information and having someone you trust to help you figure out what works for you.
That’s what The First 8 Weeks is about: personal, one-on-one coaching as you prepare for your first dose and find your footing in the weeks that follow.
You’ll start with a plan. And when real life inevitably doesn’t follow the plan, you can text me and we’ll figure it out together.
This Is the Part You Can’t Google
You can Google protein targets, nausea tips, what to eat before your shot, and whether you can have a glass of wine on Zepbound.
And you probably will.
But sometimes what you really want is a person who knows you.
Someone you can text when nothing sounds good and say, “Okay, what do I eat?”
Someone who knows you’re going out for your anniversary Saturday and can help you think through dinner without turning it into a nutritional math problem.
Someone who remembers that you hate cottage cheese, your injection day is Wednesday, and you’re trying to get stronger—not just smaller.
Someone you can ask the little questions, the weird questions, and the is this normal? questions that inevitably come up along the way.
I’ve been coaching people through health and behavior change for nearly 20 years. I know the science—but I also know that real life rarely follows the plan.
That’s the kind of coaching I offer. Not more information. A real person who knows you, understands GLP-1s, and is right there with you while you figure out what works in your real life.
The First 8 Weeks
The First 8 Weeks is two months of personal, one-on-one coaching for midlife women who are about to start—or are finding their footing on—a GLP-1.
The goal isn’t to lose as much weight as possible, as quickly as possible.
It’s to help you feel good, eat well, stay strong, and figure out what works for you as your appetite and relationship with food begin to change.
We’ll tackle the things that matter most in those early weeks: getting enough protein without obsessing over it, keeping your digestion happy, figuring out how to eat when your appetite changes, staying strong, and navigating restaurants, travel, cocktails, family dinners—and regular old Tuesday nights.
And because no two women respond to these medications exactly the same way, we’ll adjust as we go.
No rigid meal plans. No perfect GLP-1 diet. No gold stars for eating the least.
Just practical, personalized support for taking good care of yourself while the medication does its job.
Why Midlife Women?
Starting a GLP-1 at 45, 50, or 60 isn’t the same as starting another diet at 25.
Midlife changes the conversation. Muscle matters more. Hormones shift. Sleep can get weird. Our bodies change. And many of us are juggling careers, relationships, aging parents, family responsibilities, travel, stress—and decades of accumulated messages about what we “should” weigh and how we “should” eat.
And at almost 52, I’m right here in midlife too—VERY perimenopausal and well acquainted with the experience of living in a body that occasionally seems to have rewritten the instruction manual without telling me.
At this point in life, I think we get to do things differently.
The goal isn’t just to lose weight. It’s to take good care of the body you’re going to live in for the next few decades.
That means eating enough to nourish yourself, protecting muscle and strength, moving in ways that feel good, and learning how to work with your changing appetite instead of following another set of rules.
And yes, it also means making room for dinner out, travel, a glass of wine, and all the other things that make life enjoyable.
Because this isn’t just about getting smaller.
It’s about staying strong, healthy, and fully engaged in your life.

Your Prescriber Handles the Prescription. I Help With the Rest.
I am not a doctor, and coaching is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. I won’t tell you what dose to take, when to titrate, or which medication is right for you. Those are conversations for you and your prescriber.
What I can do is help you pay attention to what you’re experiencing, think through the questions you want to ask, and walk into those conversations clearer about what you actually want and need.
And while your prescriber handles the medical side, we’ll work on everything happening around the prescription: how you’re eating, whether you’re getting enough nourishment, protecting muscle and strength, navigating appetite changes, building new habits, and figuring out how all of this fits into your actual life.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to wait until I’ve taken my first injection to start?
No. In fact, I love working with women before that first injection.
We can talk through what to have on hand, easy food and protein options, hydration, movement, and what to expect during those first few days. You’ll go into your first week with a plan—and someone to text when the plan inevitably needs adjusting.
What if I’ve already started my GLP-1?
Absolutely. The First 8 Weeks isn’t only for women who haven’t taken their first dose yet.
If you’re in the early months and still figuring out food, side effects, strength, or what your new normal looks like, we can start wherever you are.
Do I have to be in midlife to work with you?
Not at all. Midlife women are the primary focus of my practice, but they’re certainly not the only women I work with. If you’re starting a GLP-1 and my approach feels like a good fit for you, I’d love to hear from you. We can talk about what you’re looking for and whether The First 8 Weeks is a good fit.
Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications or recommend doses?
No. I don’t prescribe medication, recommend doses, or provide medical advice.
I work alongside your medical care by helping with nutrition, habits, movement, and the practical day-to-day experience of using a GLP-1. Questions about medication, dosing, or concerning symptoms should always go to your prescribing provider.
Will you give me a meal plan?
No rigid meal plans here.
Instead, we’ll figure out flexible eating strategies that work with your actual appetite, preferences, schedule, and life.
The goal is for you to know how to feed yourself well—not to depend on someone else’s prescribed menu.
What if my appetite is so low that I’m barely eating?
That’s exactly the kind of thing we can work through together.
We can experiment with smaller portions, nutrient-dense foods, easy protein options, meal timing, hydration, and other practical strategies that make eating feel more manageable.
And if what you’re experiencing needs medical attention, I’ll tell you it’s time to call your healthcare provider.
What if I’m not having many side effects?
Wonderful!
There’s still plenty we can work on. We can use those early weeks to figure out nutrition, strength, changing hunger and fullness, old diet thinking, eating out, travel, and how to make the most of this opportunity without making your life revolve around your GLP-1.
What happens after the eight weeks?
The First 8 Weeks is designed as a complete two-month coaching experience—not the beginning of an open-ended commitment.
If you get to the end and feel ready to fly on your own, fantastic.
If you’d like some continued support, we can absolutely talk about what makes sense.
There’s never any expectation that you continue.
